Atif Aslam’s Video Song “Ehsas” from his newly released album ” Doori”
“She didn’t let none of her personal life into what she was doing,” says Floyd Nathanial “Danja” Hills, the 25-year-old record producer protégé of producer Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley. Hills along with songwriters Keri Hilson and Corte Ellis, has written and produced seven to eight songs for the as yet untitled Britney album, reports MTV. Britney is passionate about her comeback bid and also smart, a fact that is evident from the heavy artillery from the music industry she has lined up in support of her effort. Other song writers and producers working on the album include Pharrell, Sean Garrett, Scott Storch, Dr. Luke, J.R. Rotem, Ne-Yo, T-Pain and Kara DioGuardi. Britney’s recent emotional frailty notwithstanding, Hills, who has been working with the pop star on her new album since last July, vouches for her professionalism. Read the rest of this entry »
A video that was put on YoutTube, and later on TV channels, showed the artists engaged in the explicit act with a fifteen-year-old girl in Zen night club in Trinidad. As a result of the row, Akin was dropped by Verizon as a featured talent, and also terminated sponsorship of Gwen Stefani’s latest tour, where the”Smack That” rapper was to perform an opening act.
Sometimes it seems like Lil Wayne just accidentally talks while a song is playing and– whoops, another mixtape! However, we have yet to see a mixtape from him that includes as wide a variety of contributors as his forthcoming None Higher: We Got the Remix Special Edition with DJ Benzi. Benzi– whose website strangely features his music right alongside paparazzi-esque pictures of celebrity women– has worked with Clipse, Twista, Rick Ross, and Pitbull on previous mixtapes, and for None Higher, he brought remixing guests to the table ranging from the Neptunes, Clipse, and Timbaland to Diplo, A-Trak, Ghislain Poirier, and Nick Catchdubs. David Banner contributed production on “Monster”, and None Higher also includes guest spots from Jay-Z, Devin the Dude, and Bun B. According to Benzi, “almost all” of the material is unreleased, and much was culled from his extensive archives.

This week, Sonu will start recording 18 of the legend’s evergreen hits in Mumbai with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. “This is probably one of the most rewarding moments of my career as a singer,” says Sonu. The orchestra, which had long been planning to do an album of Rafi’s songs and was looking for the right voice, zeroed in on Sonu last month. The album has been titled Rafi Resurrected and will be released in July. The album is the brainchild of the orchestra’s composer-arranger Tim Pottier, who listened to Rafi’s songs for over a year. Pottier then did extensive research before picking 18 songs. “I didn’t have any idea that the offer would come to me. Saregama had been saying that they were looking for a dream project for me and last month they offered this. It’s really a dream come true,” says Sonu who feels popularising Rafi’s songs in the west is a big responsibility. |
